For over a year, I have been using MoonPay as the platform between my Wallet and Bank to process purchasing Crypto-currency.
However, whenI went to purchase the currency again, I was confronted with the newly installed security procedure, which I totally understand is required and welcome. What I do not understand and am totally frustrated about, is the malfunction of the system and the inability to proceed in a simplified process as its designer intended, although I feel he/she was holding their finger to the wind when they quoted about 2 mins to complete.
At each stage there was an issue with the data the system was attempting to collect, necessitating several attempts to capture before moving to the next stage.
Yesterday, I managed to advance after to the facial image stage, and that was after 1 hr.
How I maintained my composure battling with technology baffles me, however I did so until the seventh retry, which, by then, it was time tell the system where to go and what to do with its camera..
Today, the 17th September, having regained my composure, I attempted the facial recognition process again, when finally, after 6 attempts, it captured the image, even though it necessitated taking the computer into the sunny conservatory for sunlight, just to get the system to function properly.
There needs to be far superior technology for the recognition to work, especially for those who wear glasses, but are told to remove them before the scanning starts. That sounds very logical, heavens above, you don't want to seen wearing out of fashion glasses do we, but then, the system starts loading instructions to follow, however, these instructions cannot be read without glasses. Who thought of that daft idea, while screwing my face to read the instructions, when all it said was, let's try again, cos I had been attempting to read the instructions, the photo failed.
It would make a whole lot of sense to place the written instructions prior to the scanning when they can be read with glasses on, wow, hows that for a brilliant idea. (While standing/sitting still, you should slowly move your head from side to side and each time you do that, you will earn additional little green lines, and to get the jackpot, to lift your head a little until the little green lines reach each other and hold hands.
At that point there will be a lot of excitement and maybe a flash or two as a thank you, now try it.
Well, I finally got through that marathon, only to be confronted with an even bigger one with greater potholes and obstacles.
Moonpay is clearly doing things on the cheap.
For example, there is no provision for a person who purchases, say between £50 - £90 every couple of months to participate in ICO's for future maturity. Not a major investor by a long shot, nevertheless, an investor, but a very wealthy one in years to come, remember, Softly Softly catch ye Monkey.
So when I place a lowly numbers like 2% of the current years income, or even 1%, the system has a hissy fit and will not acknowledge the number to proceed to the next question.
Low & behold, fudging the system to get to the next question worked, where placing similar low percentages caused the system into meltdown and refused to proceed further.
There must be a way whereby us little guys can continue without breaking any banks or overspending, to be able to make our little investment for posterity without big bertha waving a stick because of small percentages.
Im exhausted and still have not been able to complete the security process and I am tired of jumping hurdles and dodging side swipes, I just wanna by some crypto currencies..
I have paid my penance and served my time, can I just pass go and give me my green card, or whatever colour that I will be presented with after this gruelling challenge that is fit for the SAS.
I have decided not to pursue the MoonPay journey as I have signed up with a more reputable platform where you can actually speak to a human being and where they provide an email address for ease of contact.
MoonPay is not a platform that inspires confidence unfortunately.

My name is Mark Ryan. I never created a Moonpay account.
I received an email, and after what occurred on Whatsapp, I had to verify whether or not there was an account in my name. So, I entered the code and my Gmail address was already set up on Moonpay for sign-in using my Google email. An account was already created by someone else. Perhaps I was validating the account with the code, or it was the second security check.
I could not know. In any case, it is in the name of Mark Ryan, email: markryan9352@***.com.

Hey. So I'm experiencing a problem with my Moonpay account where I made a purchase of some BTC and I'm having difficulties transferring it over to another wallet.
The problem is, I do t have the icon to "send" show up on my screen.
It only show to "Buy" or " Swap" and I'm not interested in that, I want to send my funds to another account. Can you assist with this please?
If it helps to know, I'm located in Guyana, South America.
